The Haute Charente Lakes are just around the corner, with two lakes with something for everyone. The Base Nautique at Lac Lavaud offers water activities, including kayaking, canoeing, pedal boating, paddleboarding, giant paddleboarding, catamaran, kayak-polo. Their bubble waffles are worth a visit all by themselves! 

There are sandy beaches at La Guerlie and La Chassagne where you can relax, make sandcastles, play on the inflatable or just relax.

If all that hard work has left you hungry and thirsty, the beachside restaurants of  Beach 16, Le Soleil Couchant and Le Treize Or offer a variety of tasty options for food and drink.

Even closer, on the shores of the quieter Lac Mas Chaban is the Adventure Park Massignac with high trees course and jump challenges.  

You can find more water based activities at Canoe Montbron, just 10 minutes away with canoeing on the river Tardoire.

For petrol heads there are not one but two karting circuits with enough adrenaline raising action for the whole family! Passion Karting 16 is just 15 minutes away while the karting Perigord is half an hour trip

If paintball is your thing head to Chassneuil sur Bonniere, just 15 minutes away where you will find paintaball, lazer tag and more high ropes with Accrodefis or shoot over to la Rochefoucauld for more paint ball challenges in World of Paint.
